ある土曜日、髪を切るために美容院へ行きました。
予約していた時間の少し前に店に着きました。
店に入ると、スタッフの人が「いらっしゃいませ」と言いました。
少し待ってから、席に案内されました。
美容師さんに「今日はどうしますか？」と聞かれたので、
「少し短くしてください」と答えました。
そのあと、髪を洗ってもらってから、カットが始まりました。
途中で、美容師さんに「このくらいで大丈夫ですか？」と聞かれました。
私は鏡を見て、「はい、大丈夫です」と答えました。
カットが終わると、髪を乾かしてもらいました。
最後に会計をして、店を出ました。
髪がすっきりして、気分もよくなりました。

Useful Expressions
1. ～ために — in order to / for
髪を切るために美容院へ行きました。
I went to a hair salon to get my hair cut.
～ために is used to talk about the purpose of doing something.
- 勉強するために図書館へ行きました。
I went to the library to study.
2. ～てください — please do
「少し短くしてください」と答えました。
I said, “Please cut it a little shorter.”
～てください is used when politely asking someone to do something.
- ここに名前を書いてください。
Please write your name here.
3. ～てもらう — to have someone do something for you
髪を洗ってもらってから、カットが始まりました。
After having my hair washed, the haircut started.
～てもらう is used when someone does something for you.
- 友だちに写真を撮ってもらいました。
I had my friend take a photo for me.
4. このくらいで大丈夫ですか — Is this about right?
「このくらいで大丈夫ですか？」と聞かれました。
I was asked, “Is this about right?”
このくらいで大丈夫ですか is useful when checking if an amount, length, or level is okay.
- このくらいの量で大丈夫ですか？

English Translation
One Saturday, I went to a hair salon to get my hair cut.
I arrived a little before my appointment time.
When I entered the salon, a staff member said, “Welcome.”
After waiting for a little while, I was shown to a seat.
The hairstylist asked me, “What would you like today?”
I answered, “Please cut it a little shorter.”
After that, I had my hair washed, and then the haircut began.
During the haircut, the hairstylist asked me, “Is this about right?”
I looked in the mirror and said, “Yes, that’s fine.”
When the haircut was finished, they dried my hair.
Finally, I paid and left the salon.
My hair felt neat, and I felt refreshed too.
