ある日、友だちとレストランに行きました。
店に入ると、店員さんが「いらっしゃいませ」と言いました。
私たちは席に座って、メニューを見ました。
私はカレーを食べることにしました。
友だちはパスタを注文しました。
店員さんが来たので、私は「カレーをお願いします」と言いました。
そのあと、「飲み物はいかがですか？」と聞かれました。
私は水だけでよかったので、「大丈夫です」と答えました。
しばらくすると、料理が来ました。
カレーは少し辛かったですが、おいしかったです。
食べ終わったあと、レジでお金を払って店を出ました。

Useful Expressions
1. ～をお願いします — I’ll have… / please
私は「カレーをお願いします」と言いました。
I said, “I’ll have the curry, please.”
～をお願いします is a polite and useful way to order something.
- コーヒーをお願いします。
I’ll have a coffee, please.
2. ～はいかがですか — Would you like…? / How about…?
「飲み物はいかがですか？」と聞かれました。
I was asked, “Would you like a drink?”
～はいかがですか is a polite way to offer or suggest something.
- デザートはいかがですか？
Would you like dessert?
3. ～だけでいいです — only / just … is fine
私は水だけでよかったので、「大丈夫です」と答えました。
I only wanted water, so I said, “No, thank you.”
～だけでいいです is used when you want to say that only one thing is enough.
- 水だけでいいです。
Just water is fine.
4. ～たあと — after doing…
食べ終わったあと、レジでお金を払いました。
After finishing the meal, I paid at the register.
～たあと is used to talk about what happens after an action is finished.
- 買い物をしたあと、家に帰りました。
After shopping, I went home.
English Translation
One day, I went to a restaurant with a friend.
When we entered, a staff member said, “Welcome.”
We sat down and looked at the menu.
I decided to have curry.
My friend ordered pasta.
When the staff member came to our table, I said, “I’ll have the curry, please.”
Then I was asked, “Would you like a drink?”
I was fine with just water, so I said, “No, thank you.”
After a while, our food arrived.
The curry was a little spicy, but it was delicious.
After we finished eating, we paid at the register and left the restaurant.
