English Translation
When I entered high school, a friend invited me to join the basketball club. At first, I enjoyed practicing and worked hard with the goal of playing in games.
However, as I moved up through school, my studies became busier, and it became difficult to balance them with club activities. I often came home tired, and there were more and more days when finishing my homework was all I could manage.
Even so, I couldn’t easily make a decision because I thought, “It’s not good to quit something you’ve already started.” But when I talked to a teacher, they told me, “Continuing isn’t the only right choice.”
After hearing those words, I began to think about what I wanted to prioritize at that point in my life. Continuing something can be important, but when your circumstances change, it may also be necessary to reconsider your choices.
